September 29, 2023
Happy Fall Y’all!
The first official day of autumn started on September 23rd, and we’re ready to bring on all the fall feels! From trying fall flavors to the Fall Fair festivities, we’ve got you covered here in Montgomery County.
- Indulge in Fall Flavors
Whether you crave pumpkin spice everything or apple pie lattes, there are plenty of treats to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Splendora local HoneyBee Coffee features drinks such as Pumpkin Spice Latte (of course), Apple Pie Oat Milk Latte, Beer Butter Latte, and more!
Not to mention today is National Coffee Day, which is even more reason to go! Down the road in Porter, TX, visit Paco’s Pops for Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Popsicles, homemade Apple Pie, and over 80 flavors of popsicle and ice cream.
Yummy, talk about a weekend done right.
Located in New Caney, Houston Lake Wilderness Park offers 5,000 acres of lush forest land that is perfect to visit in the cooler fall weather! Reserve a ticket and/or cabin at this park to experience activities including camping, hiking, trail running, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, birding, fishing, and horseback riding trails (visitors must bring their own bikes, fishing equipment, watercraft, and horses).
Check out upcoming events such as Native Garden Club, Edible Plant Hike, Guided Nature Hike, and Spooky Spiders. All-in-all, this park is an amazing place for you and your family to escape daily life for a bit and be present with the nature around you.
- Attend the East Montgomery County Fall Fair
If you do only one thing on this list, let this be it! Be sure to attend the East Montgomery Fall Fair this year, where there will be so many fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.
On Saturday, October 21st (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM), gather at Valley Ranch Town Center for a scary good time! This FREE event will feature pumpkins, trick-or-treating for the kids, a pie-eating contest, a haunted house, and more. Don’t miss out on the opportunity for family-friendly spooks and scares this October in New Caney!
