Fort Bend Kennel Club 90th Annual All-Breed Dog Show

Enjoy a 90-year long tradition, the Fort Bend Kennel Club invites you to join them on Sunday, April 10th for their annual All-Breed Dog Show!!

According to their website, the Fort Bend Kennel Club was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1974, the Fort Bend Kennel Club, Inc., is an all-breed club licensed by the American Kennel Club.  Membership is open to any person in good standing with the American Kennel Club who is interested in promoting the welfare of purebred dogs. The goals of the club are to protect and further the interests of all purebred dogs, to educate the public about sports involving dogs, and to promote responsible dog ownership.

What to expect at a dog show: 

• Wear comfortable shoes. 
• Stand clear of ring entrances so that exhibitors will be able to easily move their dogs in and out of the ring.
• Do not lean over the rings or try to talk to exhibitors while they are in the ring.
• Grooming areas are generally open to spectators and it is a good opportunity to visit with exhibitors. A word of caution: prior to showing, exhibitors are focusing on getting their dog ready to show and may not have time to speak with you; the best time to approach exhibitors is when they are done showing their dog. 
• Do not pet a dog without first asking permission.
• If you bring your children to the show, do not allow them to run in the aisles or to stick their fingers and hands into crates and exercise pens. 
• Baby strollers are discouraged and may be restricted in certain areas.
• Many shows have vendor booths, which tend to carry unique dog supplies.

This event is free and open to the public but dogs not registered to compete are prohibited from attending.
