Chicken Headz Blends Houston Heat with Nashville Hot Chicken
September 10, 2021
Victor Fields started making simple and delicious chicken sandwiches for him and his wife during the pandemic lockdowns of 2020. Little did he know that these home-cooked moments would catapult his culinary passion to new heights.
As he posted and shared his sandwich on social media, he started to get more Instagram followers asking him if he was taking orders. In the first month, Victor received more than 100 orders from his fans online.
Even while he was working in the oil and gas industry, Victor maintained several side hustles, as well as his hobby for cooking. Fields has taken his passion for cooking and love for Nashville hot chicken to create Houston’s own take on this nationally-known spicy sandwich. He says that he’s taken the best of Nashville hot chicken, kept the heat, and added some more flavor and a touch of sweetness to it.
Fast forward: Fields decided to open Chicken Headz food truck in Porter in October of 2020.
The business has expanded so rapidly that he plans to expand his food truck concept into a converted shipping container. The new restaurateur recently said that his goal is to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere. Even now, his food truck’s parking spot has plasma TV where patrons can watch live sports, fights, and more.
You can find Chicken Headz at 23242 FM 1314 in Porter. Contact them at 713-732-0695 or visit their Facebook page to learn more.
