Splendora High School’s Bass Fishing Team Reels In Success

Splendora High School students are reeling it in! The Splendora Bass Fishing Team had several teams out this past week representing SHS on the DETX trail and Lake Sam Rayburn.
The SHS Bass Team participated in the 2020 Texas BASS Nation State Championship #2 on November 1. J.T Key and Connor McCleskey represented the school well by placing 6th at the championship held at Lake Sam Rayburn.
The SHS Bass Team was also represented at the 2nd qualifier tournament on the DETX trail on October 31. SHS had 7 teams competing against a field of 111 teams from around the state. Tough weather conditions had to be managed in order to have 4 teams bring in fish to the scales placing 14th, 43rd, 49th and 56th.
