Splendora Junior High Theater Students Place In One-Act Play Competition

Splendora Junior High theater student’s talent was recognized recently when they earned second place in the One-Act Play competition. The students performed The Actor’s Nightmare by Christopher Durang at their home theater.

The short comic play revolves around the character George Spelvin, an accountant who is mistaken for an actor’s understudy. George is expected to perform a play in which he does not know the lines.

In addition to the second place honor, several other awards were earned.Dylan Cain received Best Performer; Giovanni Tovar and Raegan Lock received All Star; Makenzie Shores, Erin Harris, and Kim Day received Outstanding Tech Crew; Kim Day also received Outstanding Crew Member; and Kayla Atkinson, Haily Haney, and Rylee Lock received Honorable Mention.
