Harrington Trails Hosts National Night Out 2021
October 07, 2021
Residents were invited to join in the community's first-ever National Night Out event in Harrington Trails on Tuesday, October 5th. A fire truck from the Splendora Fire Department was on hand for the event and allowed kids to explore the truck and learn more about what services fire fighters fill in the community. Residents also got a chance to meet their neighborhoods, enjoy some free Southern Ice Cream treats and register to win one of five $50 Amazon gift cards. Congratulations to Amy Broadway, Kaitlyn Lewis, Kenneth Maxey, Joe’lee Jackson, and Amber Archbold who won the drawings.
National Night Out was introduced in 1984. It is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and your surroundings. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities.
