Splendora FFA Students Take Home Awards

Splendora FFA and 4-H students had a great showing at the East Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo last week. The annual show gives back to students in the community through college scholarships and organized activities.
Garrett Jones won the prestigious prized Grand Champion Steer and Brooke Seale won the Sr. Showmanship in the steer division. Splendora had 8 of the 13 FFA students receiving a premium auction slot Saturday night.
Ryder Lira and Caiden Watson took home the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Lamb, respectively. Splendora also achieved the Sr. & Jr. Showmanship awards.
Splendora also swept award at the Fair Goat Show capturing 12 of the 18 sale slots, Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, Jr., and Sr. Showmanship.
The pig show at the 2020 EMC Fair this year received 25 out 45 sale slots occupied by Splendora FFA and JR FFA exhibitor and took home the Jr. Showmanship award.
Students also had fantastic showing during the poultry and rabbit show.
